LAFD: Griffith Park - Smokey but no vegetation fire Posted: 31 Jan 2009 12:51 PM PST Smoke in the Griffith Park area of Los Angeles is caused by a movie shoot. The special effects crew is putting out clouds of smoke over the park The movie is expected to continue "for some time, but we don't know how long," according to the Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman.
